VASCO: A public awareness programme on online fraud, financial education, banks and NBFCs, internal grievance redressal mechanism as well as the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI’s) integrated Ombudsman scheme was held for the industrial workers at the Verna Industrial Estate.
More than 250 workers and staff of companies attend the workshop organised as a part of the RBI’s nationwide intensive awareness campaign. The session was conducted by one of the private finance companies finance risk containment and operation teams to showcase the various modus operandi of fraudsters, safety tips against such vulnerabilities and steps to take in the event of any fraudulent incidents.
The finance company has been driving awareness campaigns, through its digital and social media channels, branch networks, and other infotainment media, to reach the last mile-consumers and help them better understand financial products and services and not be exposed to any kind of online or offline vulnerabilities.
