VASCO: Timely intervention of the technical staff attached to Ravindra Bhawan, Baina, helped to avert a major fire accident on Wednesday. 

According to the information, fire broke out inside the conference hall of Ravindra Bhavan at around 12.30 pm causing loss of property worth around Rs 50,000. 

“The fire broke out due to short circuit and the fire started spreading to mirror wool sheets that cover central air-conditioning line. Luckily, the smoke was noticed by our housekeeping staff who immediately informed Ravindra Bhawan technical team. To our luck, our technical team was given fire fighting training last year, and thus using their skills they used CO2 and doused the flames before the same could spread out in other areas. If the incident had gone unnoticed or if the same had occurred at night, then, it would have been a big disaster,” said Shekhar Khadapkar, Chairman-Ravindra Bhawan Baina.
