Following SC directions, expert committee to supervise COVID hospital’s functioning

PANJIM: As directed by the Supreme Court, the State government has notified an Expert Committee under former Dean of Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) Dr VN Jindal for effective monitoring, supervision and guidance of government and COVID dedicated hospital ESI Margao, for providing proper health care to the patients.

The five-member committee includes incumbent GMC Dean Dr Shivanand Bandekar, former Director of Directorate of Health Services (DHS) Dr Sanjeev Dalvi, former Deputy Director DHS Pradeep Padwal and the sitting DHS Director Dr Jose D’Sa as its member secretary. 

As per its mandate, the committee has to inspect, supervise and guide the COVID Hospital, Margao to provide better facility to the patients and security of the COVID frontline workers. 

The committee will issue necessary directions for the improvement and submit the necessary reports.
