PANJIM: In view of Indian Railways introducing special direct train service from Vasco to Tirupati, Goa Tourism has come up with an attractive offer for devotees who plan a holiday to the religious place.
Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) is offering special accommodation and tour packages at a discounted cost. “This is a special package tour for devotees of Goa and tourists to visit Shree Balaji (Venkateshwara) at Tirumala in Tirupati. GTDC is offering two packages of two and three days tour for devotees who wish to visit Tirupati,” GTDC Chairman Nilesh Cabral said.
A statement issued on Friday said the charges include pick up service from Tirupati railway station, breakfast, AC room, tour/visit to Devasthan in AC vehicles, entry into the temples for Darshan and drop at Tirupati railway station. The cost, Cabral said, is inclusive of all taxes.
“GTDC has tied up with an agency at Tirupati that will facilitate all arrangements. The first day includes visiting Shiva Temple, Krishna Temple, Kalahasti (Lord Shiva/Parvati Temple) and Padmavati Temple while the second day comprises visit to Balaji (Venkateshwara), and sightseeing near Balaji Temple. The third day includes a visit to Mahalaxmi Golden temple, Swayambhu Ganesh temple, Chandragiri Fort or Srinivasamangapuram temple,” he said.
GTDC has clarified that the arrangements exclude traveling from Goa to Tirupati and back.
