PANJIM: The Goa University professor YV Reddy has resigned from the post of Registrar citing health reasons. He had taken over the charge as Registrar in April, 2016.

The University has appointed Professor Radhika Nayak, coordinator of College Development Council, as Registrar on officiating basis with an additional charge until further orders or till the post is filled on full time tenure basis.

Joint Registrar (administration) M Shreedharaj in an order issued on Wednesday said that Reddy has resigned from the post of Registrar on health grounds.

Reddy, however, will continue to be professor in the Department of Commerce.

Meanwhile, the National Students Union of India (NSUI) has thanked Reddy for all the support, dedication and working tirelessly in the interest of students during his tenure.
