PONDA: Goa Dairy Chairman Rajesh Faldesai urged dairy farmers to take adequate care and stay alert to prevent the spread of lumpy skin disease among cattle.
“The lumpy skin disease was spreading fast in other States and animals have perished and some cases are now also found in Ponda and other parts. The Goa Dairy was the first to create awareness among its farmers on lumpy skin disease spread,” said Faldesai.
The Chairman said the Goa Dairy veterinary doctors had printed a booklet which provides information about the disease and preventive measures needed to control it.
“If any such cases are noticed, then the farmers should immediately bring it to the notice of the veterinary doctors in the vicinity so that the spread of the disease is controlled,” said Faldesai.
