PANJIM: Goa Swayampurna 2.0 will focus on skilling, re-skilling and up-skilling to train youth and women under various sectors and semi-government corporations, informed Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday.
Speaking at the virtual interaction with all the municipalities and village panchayats on the occasion of his 50th birthday at the Saligao panchayat hall, Sawant congratulated Swayampurna Mitras, Sarpanchas, panchayat members and nodal officers for the successful implementation of Swayampurna Goa initiative and appreciated their hard work since the launch as the objective is to reach to the last section of the society.
Skilled man power is much needed and government schemes such as Start-ups, solar policy and IT policy should reach to all the villages, he said.
Stressing on the quote “Sabka Saath Sabka Vishwas Sabka Prayas”, Sawant said everyone should make an attempt to make Goa Swayampurna i.e. self-sustaining. He said that Common Service Centres will be set up in 410 revenue villages to help the people to avail array of government services.
Under Swayampurna Goa Flagship programme, he focussed on 10 key points such as housing for all, sanitation for all, social security and equipments for Divyangs which the government succeeded in reaching almost 98 per cent of the people.
As a Swayampurna Mitra, the Chief Minister also participated in Seva Sushasan and Jan Kalyan programme and interacted with the villagers of Saligao to understand and solve their grievances.
He also handed over sanction letters to beneficiaries of Gram Shethi.
Saligao MLA Kedar Naik, Bardez Deputy Collector-I Gurudas Dessai, Deputy Collector-II Yashwaswini B, IAS, Director of Panchayats Siddhi Halarnkar, Bardez Mamlatdar Pravin Gawas, Bardez BDO Prathamesh Shankurdas, Electricity Department Executive Engineer Pradeep Narvekar, Saligao Sarpanch Lucas Remedios and others were present.
