Goa comes to rescue of stranded Kerala fishermen
Fishermen from Kerala stranded at Mormugao Port (MPT) following Cyclone Ockhi hitting the coast, were supplied fuel by the Goa government to enable the trawlers to return to Kerala.

The South District Administration said the assistance was provided after the Kerala government request for it while assuring to bear the required cost.
The Mormugao Deputy Collector and SDO was directed by the South Goa Collector to coordinate. MPT agreed to provide the required fuel and raise the bills to the government.
