VASCO: While campaigning in Mormugao taluka, South Goa BJP candidate Pallavi Dempo spoke about Prime Minister Modi’s efforts in empowering women, highlighting the significant reservations provided in Parliament and State Legislative Assemblies. “Under the leadership of Modi and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Goa has witnessed notable development, including infrastructure improvements such as Mopa and Dabolim airports, roads, and bridges. The BJP is dedicated to the welfare of Goans, evident through various schemes. We are confident of earning your valuable vote on May 7. Voting for me is reinforcing Modi’s leadership,” she affirmed.

“Congress held power in the country for nearly 55 years without introducing a single scheme for the citizens. But since Narendra Modi took over as Prime Minister, significant progress was made, with every village receiving access to roads, electricity, toilets, and water connections. Now, it’s time for us to unite and vote for the BJP, ensuring Modi’s re-election as Prime Minister for the third term,” stated Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.

Sawant addressed corner meetings in Vasco and Mormugao Assembly constituencies, rallying support for South Goa Lok Sabha candidate Pallavi Dempo. It was announced that Home Minister Amit Shah will address a campaign meeting in Mapusa on Friday.

Speaking to the public at Baina, Sawant said, “Your concerns are always brought to my attention by your MLAs. I assure you that we will address the issues you are facing with Goa Shipyard Ltd promptly. Modi has consistently resolved national issues such as water and electricity, and we will tackle your problems after the model code of conduct is lifted.”

Earlier, Sawant met former Minister Milind Naik and seven Mormugao municipal councillors at Naik’s Sada residence and sought his support in Mormugao constituency.

Sawant emphasised the importance of solidarity within the party, and his visit to the Mormugao and Vasco constituencies a week after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public rally gave enough indication that the BJP is trying to secure a big lead in the four Assembly segments of Mormugao taluka.

Assuring his support, Naik recalled his loyalty, citing a longstanding association with the BJP spanning 15 years representing the Mormugao constituency.
