Goan origin teacher awarded OBE

PANJIM: Louis Anthony Desa, a teacher of Goan origin, has been awarded with the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list 2017 that recognises over 130 people in UK for their contribution to education, children’s services and equality.

PANJIM: Louis Anthony Desa, a teacher of Goan origin, has been awarded with the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list 2017 that recognises over 130 people in UK for their contribution to education, children’s services and equality.
Desa was the Head teacher of Bishop Thomas Grant Catholic Secondary School, London and has been awarded the OBE for his services to education.
Desa is the brother of Leah Mascarenhas, a teacher who taught at St James the Great Primary School, Windsor Road, Thornton Heath, Surrey. He is son of late Charles de Sa of Sangolda and Angela de Luna of Salvador do Mundo.
