VASCO: Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho on Friday said that he suspected a racket in the job recruitment at the Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) and that he would take up the issue with Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.

Warning the GSL management not to test the patience of the people of Goa, Godinho said that vacancies in the GSL are advertised more in the newspapers published from other States thereby giving an indication that they need outsiders for jobs.

“It is a big racket of jobs in GSL as they don't employ local people and our people want to agitate. The day will not be far when people will come out in large number and stop their works,” he said adding that he has appealed to the people not to resort to such means.

Godinho said that he will again take up this issue with Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant.
