MARGAO: Posing as customers, two women and their male aide allegedly stole a gold chain from a jewellery shop in the heart of Vasco city on Tuesday.
Head constable Santosh Bhatkar of Vasco Police Station said that a complaint has been lodged by the owner of jewellery shop stating that three unknown person entered his shop posing as customer and asked for the display of the variety gold chains and later made good escape with one gold chain worth Rs 1,11,300.
“They selected two and chose one but left the shop claiming the they would return with the old ornaments left at home and in the process stole the gold chain”, the complainant said.
