Guv, CM & Archbishop extend Ganesh Chaturthi greetings

PANJIM: Governor of Goa, P S Sreedharan Pillai, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Arch Bishop Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrão on Monday extended their greetings to the people of Goa on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

The Governor stated that, Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most important festivals widely celebrated with great enthusiasm, fervour and joy in our country. 

The Chief Minister said, “The people will worship Vighnaharta Lord Ganesh, the remover of obstacles. The uniqueness and popularity of this festival is highlighted as the people of all religions, caste and creeds fervently participate in the celebrations, which in turn promotes goodwill and brotherhood.”

The Archbishop said, “As our Hindu brethren celebrate the traditional festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, with great religious fervour, devotion and joy, I would like to convey, along with the Catholic faithful of this Archdiocese, peaceful greetings to every member of the Hindu community in this State.”
