PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa on Tuesday disposed of a contempt petition after the Administrator of Comunidades, North zone, Mapusa gave an undertaking that he would instruct that the locks will be removed and allow the managing committee of Comunidade of Fraternal de Aldona to function normally as before.
The Escrivao same evening, opened the locks of the main door and allowed the members of the managing committee access into the Comunidade building.
Being aggrieved by the non-compliance with the High Court order dated October 28, 2021, which had set aside two orders viz the government dismissing the managing committee of the Comunidade Fraternal de Aldona and consequential order of the Administrator of Comunidades,North Zone, Bardez, by which he had taken over the Comunidade Fraternal de Aldona and restrained the managing committee from functioning, the managing committee members filed contempt petition against the former Administrator of Comunidades and the current Administrator of Comunidades.
When the contempt petition came up for hearing before Justice Manish Pitale, the current administrator Gawde, who was present in the Court, gave an undertaking that he would instruct the locks to be removed and permit the managing committee to function as before.
