Hearing on land grabbing complaint against Mandrem MLA to continue   on March 27

PANJIM: The Justice V K Jadhav Commission of Inquiry, probing the land grabbing cases in the State, on Thursday adjourned further hearing the complaint against Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar to March 27. The Commission of Inquiry is hearing a complaint with regards to grabbed land admeasuring 1,48,800.00 square metres situated at Dhargalim village in Pernem taluka of which Mapusa-based Rawloo Khalap is the co-owner. 

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) at the Crime Branch on Thursday sought time to file their affidavit on the status of the investigation against Arolkar.

Adv Aires Rodrigues on July 4 last year had filed a complaint on behalf of Rawloo Khalap with the SIT giving details of the alleged land grabbing by the Mandrem MLA.
