High drama at GMC:BJP MLAs want CM to cancel Sattari centric jobs in Vishwajit's health dept

There was high drama at the GMC on Saturday, as Panjim MLA Atanasio Monserrate, St Cruz MLA Tony Fernandes and St Andre MLA Francis Silveira all belonging to the ruling BJP, rushed to the GMC to meet the Dean. This happened further to media reports that 85% of the candidates, for post of LDC at GMC were selected from Valpoi and Poriem constituencies, which are represented by Health Minister Vishwajit Rane and his father Congress MLA Pratapsingh Rane.

Babush said they have brought this to the notice of the Chief Minister and the party. We will not allow injustice to happen to our children, a furious Babush said. “We know what trouble parents and candidates go through to study for the exams,” he added. Asked whether he would see that the appointments are cancelled, he replied in the affirmative. “This is injustice to all 38 MLAs and their constituencies,” Babush said. Jobs should be allocated on merit, it cannot be from one constituency. “We will check for the oral and written exams,” he informed.

Asked whether they had spoken to Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, Babush replied in the negative. He said GMC does not belong to Valpoi Constituency. We wont allow such things to happen., Babush said.
