VASCO: Onlookers and people who were chilling at Bogmalo beach were disturbed due to the sudden movement of hovercraft on beach area. Coast Guard office at Vasco said that it was unaware of such incidence.
The video of the hovercraft moving and the ruckus caused by blowing of sand in the shacks and nearby place went viral on social media since Friday afternoon. Some onlookers at the Bogmalo beach said that the hovercraft was there at the beach area for two days. Problem arose when the hovercraft began moving and its fans started sucking and blowing off huge amount of sand in the air as well as in nearby shacks.
The impact of the air suction was such that the sand got spread all over the shack and the tables and other commodities were blown off. It was later learnt from the people that the hovercraft was brought by the Coast guards for a routine exercise.
Upon telephonic inquiry with the Coast Guard office Vasco, it came to light that they were unaware of any such incidence.
Vasco PI Nilesh Rane said that he did not receive any complaint of damage or loss.
