MAPUSA: Colvale Police arrested 35-year-old Hubli native one Deepak Solemen, residing at Cansa, Tivim in connection with a robbery attempt at Chicalim.
According to police, on the intervening night of July 21, the accused entered the house of 67-year-old Tereza Paul at Tuwarwaddo-Chicalim by removing the roof tiles and tried to commit robbery. However, the accused allegedly assaulted the house owner, who fractured her right shoulder.
Colvale Police registered an offence under Sections 452 and 394 of the Indian Penal Code against the accused.
PSI Mandar Parab is investigating the case.
