VASCO: Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) wants to provide good, safe, efficient and commuters friendly transport system in Goa and hence if people of Goa want, then without any hesitation KTC would launch app based taxi service in the State, said KTC Chairman and Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida.

“We have already taken a well thought out decision to appoint a consultant for app based taxi service in State. At the same time, I want to know whether citizens of the State are in favour of app based taxi service or not. If yes, then, without any hesitation KTC will go ahead with its decision to launch such service on par with OLA and UBER in Goa,” Almeida said.

“Though the final decision in this regard is yet to be taken by the State government, we want to tell the taxi operators that they should not panic as we will not displace them. We will not own taxis and if taxi operators want, we will take their taxis under our fleet. Soon we will come out with a clear cut policy in this regard,” Almeida added.
