SANGUEM/CANACONA/VASCO: Immaculate Conception High School, Dabal-Dharbandora won against St Andrew’s HSS, Vasco, 3-0 and entered the semi-finals of the South District level U- 17 girls Subroto Mukharjee football tournament organised by DSYA, at Dramapur ground on Friday.
Span Gaonkar scored a brace while Pradnya Gaonkar scored a goal.
In the second quarterfinal, Govt. High School edged past RPRS High School 2-1.
Mayani Gaonkar scored two goals from GHS Vaddem while Selina Pereira scored a goal for RPRS.
In the third quarterfinal of the day, St Anthony’s High School, Galjibagh-Canacona got the better of Pope John XXIII HS, Quepem 4-1.
Sharleen Fernandez and Shruti Pagi scored a goal each while Valenie Rebello netted a brace. Prenly Fernandez was the lone goalscorer for Pope John.
