MARGAO: Konkan Railway police rescued five minor children including two girls, who had fled from their homes in other States besides seizing 308 bottles of alcohol, which were sought to be smuggled from Goa through the Railways till June 30, 2018.

MARGAO: Konkan Railway police rescued five minor children including two girls, who had fled from their homes in other States besides seizing 308 bottles of alcohol, which were sought to be smuggled from Goa through the Railways till June 30, 2018.

The police rescued three boys from Bicholim, who had fled from home and boarded the train at Tivim to leave the state. Police managed to rescue the boys at the Margao Railway station as the personnel found their behaviour suspicious and upon questioning realised that they had fled from home.

Police rescued a minor girl, who had fled from her house at Dehradun and another minor girl from Varanasi. Both these girls were sent to Apna Ghar from where they were collected by their parents.
