PONDA: Locals of Kavlem have brought to notice several problems affecting them and have passed various resolutions during the first gram sabha.

PONDA: Locals of Kavlem have brought to notice several problems affecting them and have passed various resolutions during the first gram sabha. 

The gram sabha decided to clear all illegal encroachments and gaddas along highways and internal roads, which not only blocked traffic but also give rise to illegal activities. 

Locals at Paunwada also brought to notice the mosquito and dog menace in the area. 

Dhavlim locals pointed out that gutter water was released from one building into nullahs and complained that a fabrication shop used illegal electricity connection and caused them problems.

Locals also suggested that youth be encourage to take up agriculture and entrepreneurship so that they could become self-reliant.

Talking about the cattle menace in the village, Sarpanch Rajesh Kavlekar, who chaired the meet, said he was planning to establish a shed in the panchayat area to solve the problem.
