PANJIM: In a disturbing turn of events, it has been revealed that Jeff John Louis, a 27-year-old native of Kerala who mysteriously vanished in 2021, was the victim of a brutal murder in Goa.

The information came to light during a police interrogation for an unrelated case last Saturday, when one of the accused disclosed details about Jeff’s murder.

Jeff, an MBA drop-out, first went missing in November 2021, but it wasn't until a month later that his mother reported him missing to the Ernakulam police, where the family resided. The probe met a dead end as Jeff’s phone was untraceable, according to police reports.

Three Kerala natives, reported to be friends of the deceased, have been apprehended in connection with the murder: Anil Chacko from Velloor in Kottayam, as well as Steffin and Vishnu from Wayanad.

They are slated to be transported to Goa for further investigation.

According to A Akbar, the Police Commissioner of Kochi City, the motive behind Jeff’s murder, which took place in 2021, was a personal vendetta borne out of a financial dispute.

The arrested trio have allegedly confessed that Anil Chacko, a history-sheeter identified as the primary suspect, hatched the conspiracy to murder Jeff due to a longstanding personal feud.
