PANJIM/PONDA: Adv Ramakant Khalap, the Congress party's INDIA Bloc Lok Sabha candidate, outlined his development strategy, and said he would form a council comprising 20 advisors representing each Assembly constituency in North Goa district.
"These council members will possess in-depth knowledge of the challenges faced by villagers. We plan to meet every three months. One meeting will be held prior to a Parliament session which will allow us to discuss problems, and these can be raised in the Lok Sabha, as well as writing to the ministers and other such works. Another meeting will follow after the session," he said.
Khalap pledged efficient allocation of MPLAD funds and the execution of diverse schemes across constituencies.
"Whether it's road construction or other projects, we'll allocate Rs one crore annually from the Rs five crore allocation per constituency, prioritising as per people's demands. Furthermore, numerous schemes will be implemented district-wide," he assured.

VASCO: The people have taken over the campaign for the Congress and INDIA bloc, said Capt Viriato Fernandes, Congress’ Lok Sabha candidate for South Goa.
Speaking to reporters at a meeting in Vasco on Friday, Viriato said he was pleasantly surprised to see that citizens are taking forward their campaign. “We were hoping that it would be people’s power versus money power, and it is actually what is happening,” he said. “There is a lot of resentment against the government; people are not fools, they won't buy the BJP's lies for the third time,” he added.
