CHORAO: The Kul Mundkar Sangarsh Samiti (KMSS) on Sunday reiterated its demand for withdrawal of Goa Restriction on Transfer of Agricultural Land Act 2023.
They claimed that the said Act is against the interest of the farmers.
Creating awareness about the said Act amongst the farmers in Chorao, KMSS leaders and representatives claimed that if any farmer fails to undertake cultivation then the government will take over the land and hand it over to district administration who can then give it to anyone.
They advised the farmers to cultivate their fields and submit photographs of the same as an evidence to the Village Panchayat and other concerned till their demand for withdrawal of the Act is fulfilled.
