Liquor sale restricted till 11pm in South Goa in view of elections

MARGAO: In wake of upcoming elections scheduled on February 14 South Goa District Collector on Friday issued an order pertaining restrictions on sale of liquor by 11 pm. 

Ruchika Katyal, District Collector in her order stated that it is hereby clarified that only the sale and service of liquor in all liquor bars, shops, pubs, shacks, clubs, provision stores or any establishment in the whole of South Goa district shall be stopped every day by 11 pm, till election model code of conduct is in force. 

"Any violations of the above directions may be reported to the office of the district election officer, Margao,” said Katyal.
