Mapusa: A loaded lorry bearing registration number GA 06 T 7402 was damaged after six tyres of the truck caught fire all of a sudden while it was moving along the NH 66.
The incident occurred at around 12.20 of Friday near Priti International Peddem Mapusa when the tyres of the vehicle proceeding to Birla Zuarinagar from Banda loaded with concrete got punctured and caught fire.
Luckily no injuries were reported. The owner Madhu Rathod from Vasco claimed loss of around 4 lakhs while the fire personnel team headed by Sub officer Parab saved property worth 50 lakh.
