Panjim

Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) Commissioner Shashank Tripathi informed that the capital city’s pre-monsoon works have already started. “The CCP has already commenced the works and we have the staff to complete the works. All the works for which the work orders have been issued will continue and only those where work orders have not been issued will have to wait until the model code of conduct concludes”, the Commissioner stated.

He further informed that CCP has already commenced the cleaning of the drains and the other works will follow as planned.

CCP Mayor Uday Madkaikar stated that the necessary tenders were floated and work orders issued regarding all the pre-monsoon works. “It is a regular work and the tenders for labour and others were floated and work orders too have been issued. The works will not be stopped. However, if there is any work that needs to be completed urgently, then we will seek the permission from the committee appointed at the state level”, he added.
