PANJIM: The BBA (shipping and logistics) Department of MES College, Zuarinagar, celebrated National Maritime Day, recently.  B P Shah, ex-deputy chief engineer of Mormugao Port Trust was the main guest speaker for the day.  Ajay Tambvekar, deputy director of Institute of Maritime Organisation, Bogda and Dr R B Patil, principal MES College were also present on the dais. 

At the outset, Viraj Mahatme, professor at BBA department welcomed the gathering and the principal of MES College, Dr R B Patil, explained the importance of National Maritime Day. 

Shah explained the role of a good manager and the essential qualities required to become a good manager. He entreated the students to be more faithful towards the organisation they are working with and recounted several examples of successful people, who became successful with the right attitude, in spite of not having a proper school education.
