BJP MLA Clafasio Dias, who had recently tested negative for COVID-19, has again tested positive for the virus sending shockwaves in the State. The MLA has been admitted to GMC undergoing “rehabilitation treatment for pulmonary” condition when his repeat test showed positive for COVID-19.
“He tested negative for COVID-19 after which he was shifted from COVID-19 hospital to the GMC as he requires some rehabilitation treatment for pulmonary. Since this treatment cannot be provided in the COVID-19 hospital and as he also tested negative, he was shifted,” Health Secretary Nila Mohanan said in reply to a media query.
Mohanan confirmed that on repeat test, Dias tested positive for COVID-19. The MLA had been in the COVID-19 hospital for nearly a month until he tested negative.
