MMC to tax unregistered houses

VASCO: The Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) has decided to tax unregistered houses in its jurisdiction. Chief Officer, Gaurish Sankhwalkar informed that they have already started collecting house taxes in the municipal area. Tax will be also be imposed on the unregistered houses after their assessment, which are taking benefits but don’t pay a penny to the municipality.
