MAPUSA: The Mapusa Police arrested one Akash Sunil Dixit for allegedly trying to kill his 60-year-old mother Anjali Dixit. According to Mapusa Police, the victim’s neighbour Maureen D'Souza lodged a complaint stating that on October 30, at around 4 pm, in flat of Ambika Apartment, Shetyewado, Duler, the accused tried to kill his mother, who is residing with him by assaulting her with a screw driver and further strangulated her causing serious injuries. The victim is undergoing treatment at GMC.
