MARGAO: The Margao Municipal Council on Thursday passed a resolution for the naming of a road after the deceased Dr Mario Godinho in and around his residence near Holy Spirit Church, in ward number 10.
The council has unanimously resolved to the resolution placed by the councillor of ward number 10 Glen Andrade that a suitable road be identified in ward number 10 and be named after late Dr Mario Godinho to commemorate the memory of the gentleman doctor and COVID warrior who rendered yeomen medical service to the people of Margao in general and the residents of ward number 10, in particular, to alleviate their sufferings in this COVID times and sacrificed his life for the purpose.
The resolution was adopted and passed.
