Margao carnival float results out

The Margao float parade winners list has been finally released. The float parade was judged by John Miranda, Maendra Alvares and Liselle Falcao. In all there were 29 clowns/jokers, 10 floats in traditional category, 13 in club/institute category, 15 in family category and 19 in fun/junk vehicle category.

The float on marine life presented by Alexinho D’Silva bagging the first place in the traditional category while in the Club/Institute category the mermaid presented by Dadapeer Zalegar bagged the first place and Ryan Motivational Group’s float from Sernabatim won the first place in the Family category.

In the traditional category the second place went to Zuvenche Painter from St Estevam while the third place went to the float depicting the talents in a child presented by Ronaldo Dias and Jose Gomes. Goenchim Festam by Raul Pereira from Quepem won the fourth prize while Sobit Fulam by Jeron Colaco was adjudged the fifth best. Consolation prizes in this category were awarded to Ramiro Mascarenhas, Anthony Piexote and the traditional flag by Yatin Chari.

In the Club/Institute category the float presented by Concy Mascarenhas for Reserve Bank of India won the second place while Kingley Fernandes won the third prize and the fourth place went to Batisto Savio Pinto while the fifth prize was bagged by Venancio Rodrigues. Consolation prizes in this category were awarded to Yatin Chari, Romario Vaz, Ishwar Shankar Talgade/Alano J D’Souza and Bosco G F Roberto.

In the family category the float presented by Willy Mascarenhas from Pulwado Benaulim won the second prize, the third place went to the one presented by Melven Fernandes and Maxwell D’Souza, fourth prize was bagged by Francis Goes while the fifth place went to the float having a peacock presented by Cracy Rebeiro. The five consolation prizes in this category went to Baptisto Savio Pinto, Godwin Luis, Francis and Kishen, Manuel Joao Carvalho and Romy Fernandes.

In the Fun’Junk vehicle category Debhav Mangaonkar won the first place followed by Mildred Tony Lobo in the second place and Rafael Savio Barreto in the third place. While Tony Cardozo was in the fourth place, Victoria Pereira bagged the fifth place. Consolation prizes in this category were awarded to Sebastiao Vaz, Edwin Marshal/Narayan Pednekar, Alison Borkar, Brendon Dias and Edwin Marshal/Macson Fernandes.

Blazin Rebello was adjudged the best clown/joker followed by Liana Fernandes in the second place, Vijay Desai in the third place, Francisco Mascarenhas in the fourth place and Balchandra A. Naik in the fifth place. Consolation prizes in this category were given to Dylan Rodrigues, Agnelo Colaco, Vincent Pacheco/Antonio D’Souza, Slegan Dias and Agostinho Fernandes.
