PANJIM: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Kunal held a review meeting with State and District ICONs to assess the progress of ‘Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation’ (SVEEP) calendar, its objectives and ‘smart goals’, for the upcoming general election for Goa Legislative Assembly 2022 and special summary revision 2022. The meeting was held at his office in Altinho, Panjim.

Kunal added that Election Commission of India’s (ECI) objective is to reach out to the last voter.

“No voter is to be left behind. To achieve this objective, we need to maximise the activity so as to showcase the hidden talent and beauty of Goa by creating election awareness related creativity. ECI is always keeping vigil on the activities of the State and therefore we need to prepare for the activity by using Goa's scenic beauty and talent”, he added.

The CEO further appealed to all the ICONs to optimise use of social media to post their election related activity so as to enlighten the citizens about ECIs initiatives to involve the citizens in the election process.

He then directed the officers that a circular be issued through the Department of Information and Technology to all government departments to provide the link nvsp.in on all government departments website, which will help the people to access the voter portal in creating awareness. He also appealed to organise various competitions for college students and also for EPIC card holders.
