Missing file case: Fatorda cops record BDO’s statement

MARGAO: The Fatorda police have recorded the statement of the Block Development Officer (BDO), Margao, in connection with the file that was reported missing from his office recently.

According to police sources, the BDO was asked to report for an enquiry at the Fatorda police station on January 24, and his statement was recorded by PSI Sarvesh Bhandari. The missing file is from the year 1991. An RTI request was forwarded to the BDO’s office, for which they needed the file, but a search revealed that it was missing. The BDO lodged a complaint at the Margao police station, which was later sent to the Fatorda PS, as the office falls within its jurisdiction.
