NGO writes to Centre about Vasco-Collem local train

VASCO: A Vasco-based NGO named ‘Goa First’ has written a letter to the Union Railway minister Piyush Goyal and the Goa's Chief Minister Pramod Sawant praying to immediately restart the Vasco-Collem local train, which was stopped since March 22 due to CoVID pandemic. 

“The government should seriously give a thought of restarting this Vasco-Collem local train as hundreds of people from South Goa used to travel via this passenger train,” said Parshuram Sonurlekar, Goa First member.

Thousands of locals who used to use the local train to travel to Margao, Vasco and other places, have been deprived of the service since the lockdown.
