MAPUSA: The National Students Union of India (NSUI), affiliated to the Congress party, has filed a police complaint against the activists of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) for creating ruckus and allegedly threatening students of St Xavier’s College at Mapusa.

In his complaint, NSUI State president Naushad Chowdhari has named 10 students including ABVP general secretary Sohil Mahajan, who is also a student of the college.

He said that some unknown persons, who were not students of St Xavier's College entered the college campus on January 21 and hoisted/placed ABVP flags all around the college campus without permission of the college administration and started sloganeering.

Chowdhari has provided CD with video footages where ABVP activists are seen unlawfully disrupting classes and practicals in St Xavier’s College and another CD with photographs and videos of defacement of Goa University campus.

He has urged the Mapusa police to register FIR against the ABVP members for offences under Section 143, 341, 447, 352, 504 and 506 of IPC and section of Goa Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 1988.
