SANGUEM: Savari Waterfall located in the interior of Netravali Village of Sanguem taluka has been attracting a large number of visitors. Totally mesmerised with the enchanting beauty the waterfall has to offer, the number of visitors both locals and tourist, is increasing by each passing day making the water a much sought after destination after the Goan beaches.
Though one has to walk down almost 270 steps to reach the waterfall, it has not deterred the people from making it to the site once they alight from their vehicles.
Due to its location in the deep interior of Netravali Wild Life Sanctuary, the waterfall is managed and maintained by the Forest Department. People visiting the waterfall need to pay parking fee of Rs 100 for a four-wheeler and another Rs 100 for visiting the waterfall.
While appreciating the forest department for its management at the waterfall, people visiting the waterfall have urged the department for some modifications to the changing room as a single room is not sufficient to manage the large crowd on Sundays and holidays. Besides, a minimal water facility in the changing room would have been highly appreciated, claim the visitors to the waterfall.
The visitors have also urged for increased waste collection bins and a railing to the staircase for the safety of the visitors particularly the elderly people.
Of late, the water fall is seen witnessing hundreds of people particularly on Sundays and public holidays and the number tends to increase given the positive vibes say the people have after visiting the Savari Waterfall.
