PANJIM: A 59-year-old patient from Sawantwadi, Maharashtra was among the nine who succumbed to COVID-19 infection on Monday, taking the total mortality count to 360 mark. 

The day also saw more 324 people getting infected while as many as 429 positive patients were declared negative and cured.

Since January 29, Goa has reported 28, 753 confirmed coronavirus cases of which 5,667 are active cases. As many as 22,726 patients have recovered. 

Of the total nine deceased, six were admitted in Goa Medical College and Hospital, and three in ESI-Margao Hospital.

As per the bulletin issued by Directorate of Health Services (DHS), the deceased include 59-year-old from Sawantwadi, 

64-year-old from Marcel-Ponda, 62-year-old from Siolim, 69-year-old from Palem-Bicholim, 50-year-old from Bicholim, 71-year-old from Bicholim, 48-year-old from Navelim, 70-year-old from Saligao and 88 years old patient from Guleli-Sattari.
