PANJIM: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president Sadanand Shet Tanavade on Saturday rubbished AAP leader and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s claims of replacing Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant in Goa.

Speaking to media persons informally after returning from Delhi, Tanavade said, “No political party will make a change in leadership when Assembly elections are just two months away. AAP may be doing it,” he said.

“No discussion on change in leadership took place in Delhi. We went to Delhi to review the election preparations and discuss the matter in detail, jointly with our national leadership,” Tanavade said.

“As elections are coming close our trips to Delhi will be more frequent,” he added.

Tanavade said Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president J P Nadda had already conveyed what needs to be told to Goans as regard the party leadership in Goa during their visits to the State.

When asked about differences between the Chief Minister and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, Tanavade said, “We are one family. Differences in viewpoints do occur within family members. But we are all together.”

Sisodia had earlier said the BJP was going to change the chief minister in Goa.
