MAPUSA: General Secretary of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Amarnath Panjikar and Aldona Block Congress Committee have demanded immediate arrest of Aldona MLA Glen Ticlo and Franky Carvalho, Vice President of North Goa District Committee after they were found violating COVID-19 norms by organizing a Party at a beach shack in Calangute.
Panjikar condemned the act of the two elected representative and criticised them for partying during this covid Pandemic.
“While the whole world is going through covid Pandemic, the elected representative and offices bearers of BJP are enjoying parties. Video have gone viral all over in which they have completely violated the covid 19 norms. We condemn this act of theirs”, Panjikar said.
“BJP Government itself makes laws but its own elected representatives failed to follow the law and violates all the norms. One side people are scared for their health and are going through a bad face. Businesses are in loss and people are jobless”, Panjikar concluded.
Meantime, a message went viral on social media clarifiying statement made by Gen Secretary GPCC Amarnath Panjikar stating that those who point fingers at others should first see for themselves whether they have not violated during covid pandemic. Message alleged that Panjikar who is the leader of grand old Congress Party, and others were in attendance and partaking the celebrations of the 21st birthday was seen in photograph with group without masks with no social distancing recently.
