PONDA: Anup Kumar Ramgulal, aged 24 years, native of Uttar Pradesh and residing at Manawada-Kundaim drowned at Kundaim Mansher while he had gone for fishing at the sluice gate along with three other accomplice workers, on Thursday night.
According to Ponda Police, while the three were involved into fishing activity, the deceased Anup was taking rest in hut, located on the bank of the river. However, when all three workers returned back from their fishing activity, they found Anup was missing.
They continued their search for him but was not found. On Friday, at around noon, the body was found floating at the sluice gate, following which the police were informed. It is suspected that he might have fell into the river and died due to drowning.
