MARGAO: Manuel Da Costa wanted by the police in an alleged cheating case of Rs 12 lakh was finally arrested by the Margao Police in Mumbai.
PSI Vibhavari Gaonkar along with his team visited Mumbai and arrested the alleged accused person at India Bulls, Green Kongaon, Panvel, Maharashtra. He was absconding since July 2022, said police.
Based on the Direction of Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Margao an offence under Section 420 read with 34 of IPC read with Section 10 and 24 of the Emigration Act of 1983 was registered by the police against the accused.
Police said that offences had been registered against Manuel D’Costa and Samson Fernandes for cheating a resident of Dramapur to the tune of 12 lakh.
