CANACONA: Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar, while addressing a meeting at Cotigao, likened the opposition to "kidde," meaning maggots, and suggested they are best ignored.

Asserting that the BJP is campaigning on the basis of the development it has brought to the area, he said there was bound to be opposition to any and all initiatives.

“These are the 'kidde' who fail to acknowledge the development we have accomplished,” he remarked, highlighting the introduction of the 'shramdhan' concept in Canacona, which has spurred significant progress.

“Unfortunately, these people cannot see the positive changes we have made, focusing solely on isolated issues like the condition of certain schools,” he lamented.

However, Tawadkar indirectly acknowledged the need for further development in the area, particularly in terms of infrastructure such as roads, as well as enhancing agriculture.

“In Cotigao, specifically, agriculture and dairy farming must be further developed,” said the Canacona MLA, expressing his vision for Cotigao as a thriving destination drawing visitors from far and wide.

“The temple atop the hill will be bustling with visitors and we will have well-maintained roads and everyone will want to come here, that is my dream for Cotigao” he shared.

He urged the people to vote for the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections to ensure Narendra Modi's return as Prime Minister, so the tribal population will have better days under his leadership.
