PANJIM: After being slammed by the Court, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday produced the original complaint in the 2008 Panjim police station attack case before the trial court.

The trial Court had on November 29 granted last opportunity to CBI to submit the original complaint after the investigating agency failed to do so on a few occasions. The matter has now been adjourned to December 6, during which the Court will cross examine the witnesses.

When the matter came up for hearing on Friday, CBI produced the original FIR which was registered on February 19, 2008.

Then police sub-inspector and incumbent police inspector Tushar Lotlikar deposed before the Court and narrated the entire incident.

He identified Revenue Minister Babush Monserrate and others as the accused allegedly involved in the infamous Panjim police station attack case.

Monserrate, his wife MLA Jeniffer, former Mayors of CCP Tony Rodrigues, Uday Madkaikar are among the accused in the case.

The Bombay High Court had in December last year directed the Special Court of the CBI to expedite the trial, while dismissing the plea of the accused seeking discharge from the case.
