MARGAO: Minister for PWD Deepak Pauskar on Saturday inspected the kabrastan at Pajifond-Margao and assured to resolve all the issues pertaining to the kabrastan.
Speaking to the media persons after the inspection, The PWD Minister said that tenders will be issued with regard to beautification and compound wall at kabrastan in the next few days. Besides, the request to repair the road will also be fulfilled.
It may be recalled that nearly two months back, few officials of the government department and BJP leaders had visited the kabrastan at Pajifond with regard to beautification and compound wall.
On Saturday, the office bearers of Margao Sunni Masid Committee called upon PWD Minister and urged to resolve the issue of the road on a priority basis.
They informed the PWD Minister that several deaths due to COVID infections have been witnessed and they are facing difficulties to carry the dead bodies to kabrastan due to bad road.
“The tender for beatification and compound wall will be issued very soon. Besides, the department will look into the demand of repairing the road at earliest,” assured the PWD Minister.
