VASCO: Reiterating her commitment to work honestly for the development of the State,

Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) South Goa Lok Sabha  candidate Pallavi Dempo on Wednesday emphasised that Goa’s progress will be her foremost priority and pledged to bring development projects and schemes from the Centre to the State and sought community support in achieving these objectives.

Dempo conducted a campaign tour in the Cortalim Assembly constituency  and addressed a corner meeting at Umiya Building, engaging with supporters and residents.

Dempo was accompanied by BJP State general secretary Adv Narendra Sawaikar, Cortalim MLA Anton Vas, former Power Minister Milind Naik and others.

The speakers said that the transformative progress witnessed in Goa under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) governance is undeniable. A notable aspect of this progress is the concerted effort to foster women’s representation in politics.

In line with this commitment, the Modi government has made a historic nomination of Pallavi Dempo for South Goa Parliamentary constituency.

The speakers said that Dempo’s nomination for Lok Sabha seat marks a significant milestone as it signifies the beginning of 33 per cent political reservation for women under the tenure of Modi government. It also highlights the importance of women’s participation in the electoral process and appealed to the people to elect Dempo and ensure their representation in the Lok Sabha.

Adv Sawaikar further appealed to the people to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting scheduled opposite Birla Mandir, Zuarinagar, Sancoale at 5 pm on Saturday, April 27.

The Cortalim MLA claimed that under the visionary leadership of Modi, both the State and the nation had witnessed unprecedented development and progress. Goa has experienced remarkable growth with the establishment of IIT and MIT campuses, the construction of eight-lane roads, and a comprehensive phase of overall development. Dempo also addressed corner meetings at Upasnagar, Zuarinagar and Birla market in Sancoale village panchayat.

Later, Dempo addressed a corner meeting at Maddicotta-Cuncolim.
