PANJIM: The striking para teachers on Saturday withdrew their agitation following written assurance by the government to absorb them in service in phases.
A total of 129 para teachers had launched a protest demanding that government should fulfil its promise to regularise their service. During the protest, they were even detained after they announced to march to the Legislative Assembly Complex, on Friday.
They were released on the same evening but the para teachers refused demanding that government gives them a written assurance to absorb them in service. They withdrew their agitation on Saturday after Goa government gave them written assurance to absorb them in service in phases.
