PONDA: After the Electricity Department damaged a water pipeline twice at Priol in a week, on Sunday evening the Sewerage Department workers damaged a water pipeline at Ponda causing water shortage to parts of Durbhat and Kavlem area.

The work on sewerage is progressing in Ponda since past two years and the locals are fed up with this long ongoing work. 

They are demanding that the work be expedited as long ongoing work has made the road condition worst. 

However, sewerage officials said most of the work on sewerage chambers and laying sewerage lines is completed and only 10 per cent work is pending.
